Ristorante Pappagallo is a haven for everybody who appreciates fine, relaxed dining, excellent service and an inviting atmosphere.
The restaurant feels like it's on its own perfect island with a waterfull on one side and a lake with the other, but it is the architecture that makes Pappagallo stand out from the crowd. Tall thatched ceilings stetch skyward with a mix of large woven fans and subtle air-conditioning creating the ideal climate to enjoy a truly memorable evening. Inside, the various rooms surprise you every time you make the trip to West Bay and are designed to accommodate whatever the occasion.
Business people can unwind after a challenging day in the office; couples can indulge in a candle lit tête-à-tête; while familites can share vacation stories over their meals.
Waiting to greet you at the door is Humphrey Bogart a seasoned staff member, who has greeted guests for the past 20 years. With a bit of attitude and coaxing, Bogey will happily pose for a picture with you, and chirp in your ear. (He is a parrot after all)!
As you enter the restaurant you can relax in the spacious bar area and ask for one of Pappagallo's famous tropical mojitos or fresh friut bellinis.
Pappagallo offers two options of dining in the coolest winter months, the outside screed-in-patio which overlooks the mangrove pond. You can feel the coold north-westerly breeze, and watch many of Grand Cayman's local birds and migratory birds, which can be seen in the distance in their natural habitiat.
The flamingo room, just before you enter the patio offers a similar view of the water, but it is the spectacular details of the 30 ft high Cayman style authentic "Silver Thatch" roof built in 1984, which has survived several storms throughout these past few years. The smallest and more intimate of our dining areas, called the Pappagallo room can be used for private functions or regular dining depending on the time of year. The room looks out onto a lush tropical garden, and future live tropical Parrots (on the outside).
