Rachel is a Caymanian with an extensive knowledge of the local markets, laws and procedures with experience in banking and general corporate/commercial matters.
Rachel graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2007 with her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and proceeded to complete the Professional Practice Course qualifying exams at the Cayman Islands Law School in 2008. She completed her articles with a local offshore firm and was called to the Cayman Islands Bar in 2010 and continued practicing in the Banking and Finance department.
In 2011 she joined Cayman Enterprise City, Special Economic Zone as a business development manager working both with the Cayman Islands and Dubai based business development office. She was able to extend her expertise by interacting with global companies (small and fortune 500’s) in the fields of ICT, media and biotechnology. She spent time in Dubai forming strategic relationships with Dubai Multi Commodities Centre and Dubai International Financial Centre where she spear headed strategic partnerships and became familiar with the benefits of some of the largest special economic zones in the world.
At the end of 2012 she returned to the local offshore law firm that she articled with and continued in their Banking & Finance division for 2 years.
