It was incorporated in the Cayman Islands on Novemebr 25th, 1997, and commenced operations on December 1st, 1999. The Company is jointly owned by Capital & Credit Financial Group Ltd. (formerly Capital & Credit Holdings Limited), a Jamaican company and Bishop Herro Blair, Pastor Herro 'Steve' Blair Jr., and Lindsay Blair who own the remaining interest in the company. Its business office is located at Shop 101 Elizabethan Square, 80 Shedden Road, in the heart of the Grand Cayman business district.
ERS offers remittance services through its flagship brand Reggae Money Express and also acts as agent for serveral other franchise brands, such as Envios de La Nacional, Omnex Money Transfer and Ria Money Transfer. With this new system, ERS was able to send outbound transfers to Jamaica. Through the years, ERS grew in both volume and value of business, and with the aid of sub agents island wide and in Cayman Brac, Express Remittance is able to offer convenient opening hours and opening days. One more subagent is expected to be in place in the Red Bay area by the end of 2010.
