Optic Nerve disease which leads to tunnel vision.
Glaucoma is a silent condition that can lead to visual loss due to high pressure in the eye. Most of the time that patient will be unaware of the high pressure unless this is routinely checked. Often tests such as a visual field and Ocular coherence tomography scan of the optic nerve is necessary to aid the diagnosis.
The risk of glaucoma is higher in patients with a family history of glaucoma. Glaucoma leads to peripheral visual decline which is often unnoticed until very severe.
