Dr. Tanja Ebanks is a general surgeon who has been with Chrissie Tomlinson Memorial Hospital since 2007.
Dr. Ebanks was trained as a medical doctor at University in Bern. After graduating from University she worked one year in General Surgery and Traumatology in a small hospital in Jegenstorf, Switzerland. She later worked as a surgical registrar in Western Samoa on a volunteer base.
After another two years of General Surgery and Traumatology back in Switzerland in Grenchen and Biel, Dr. Ebanks did a two year residency in Hand and Plastic Surgery in Lucerne. She then chose to finish her residency in General Surgery instead of pursuing in Hand and Plastic Surgery and went on to work two years as a senior registrar in General Surgery and Traumatology in Delemont, in the French speaking part of Switzerland.
