All accommodation in the Cayman Islands is strictly controlled by the government. Standards for cleanliness, safety, and value for money are set out in the Tourism Accommodations Law. Compliance with these standards is rigorously checked by the Department of Tourism. The Department is responsible for an ongoing inspection program as well for provision of staff training and development. The aim of this is to preserve the reputation of the Cayman Islands as a high quality destination.
Cayman has a high season, which runs from December 15 to April 15. Prices during this period can be significantly higher.
